Phillips was last seen on June 4, 2011, at his home at 5th Avenue North in Amory, Mississippi when he was dropped off there. He has not been seen or heard from since.
In March of 2019, Jeffery Dewayne Kennedy was charged with first-degree murder in Phillips’ case. He was already in prison serving a 10-year sentence on unrelated methamphetamine charges.
Phillips’ body has never been found.
