Johnson last spoke with her 13-year-old daughter in December 2019. She was arrested in Waynesboro, Mississippi on January 14, 2020, and released later that day. She has not been seen or heard from since that date. Her family reported her missing with Jackson Police Department in Jackson, Alabama. The Jackson Police Department passed the information onto the Waynesboro Police Department.
