Case Details
Wellerman was last seen at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, off of Highway 494 near V Smith Road near Purdue, Mississippi. According to the last known person to see Wellerman, Wellerman had injured his toe and needed medical attention. At the time, he was living with a friend in the Purdue community. His friend borrowed a vehicle belonging to the friend’s grandmother to take Wellerman to the Fast Pace Clinic in Meridian. The friend’s grandmother later called and told him to bring her car back because they had been gone too long or she was going to call the sheriff’s department. When the men returned, she stated she had called the law to report the car stolen. Wellerman and the friend allegedly ran into the woods across from the home to hide. The friend states that Wellerman then said that he had left something inside the home and turned around to go get it while the friend remained in the woods hiding. This is the last time Wellerman was seen. He has not been seen or heard from since. His case remains unsolved at this time.
