Case details:

About a year prior to Latasha's disappearance, she began divorce proceedings from her estranged husband, Derrick Coleman. On July 17th, 2022, she filed domestic violence and malicious mischief charges against him. On July 18th, 2022, a no-contact order was filed and Derrick was to have absolutely no further contact with Latasha. On July 21st, 2022, Derrick kicked in the door to her home, violating the no-contact order that was in place at the time. Latasha subsequently filed more charges.

Derrick was given a $250,000 bond, which was appealed by his lawyer. The bond was lowered to $50,000; however, Derrick was ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor for 270 days or "until the appeal was resolved." Derrick was never put on a GPS monitor.

Latasha began letting loved ones know that her life was being threatened by Derrick shortly before her disappearance. On July 17th, 2023, when Latasha was last physically seen, she told a loved one that she was concerned for her safety. On July 18th, 2023, Latasha spoke to family members before going completely silent around 7:30 p.m. When she was a "no call, no show" for her shift at work on July 19th, 2023, her family knew something was wrong. Latasha's family tried continuously to reach her but were unable to make contact. They visited her home in the 100 block of Hidden Valley Lane in Jackson which is where she was last physically seen. She was not at her home, nor was her vehicle. Latasha was reported missing by her family that day.

A Silver Alert was issued by the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation for Latasha on July 20, 2023, as family states she suffers from a medical condition that may impair her judgement.

Latasha has not been seen or heard from since. Her gray, 2002 Acura MDX bearing Mississippi license plate: HPA 8639 has not been recovered either. Her case remains unsolved at this time.

On July 21, 2024, Derrick Coleman was shot and killed at a Jackson gas station taking any information he had about Latasha's disappearance and her whereabouts with him to his grave.
