Jones was last seen by his wife on the morning of Monday, October 25, 2021. He kissed her goodbye and told her he would see her shortly. He then left their home in Center Point, Alabama with a man he did not know well. The two men were en route to the Golden Moon Casino and Resort in Mississippi. Jones’s family became worried when they were unable to reach him via cell phone and he did not return home when he said he would be back. Jones was reported missing when the man he left home with returned without him. During the course of their investigation, investigators recovered and processed a vehicle belonging to the male he left with. They later stated that evidence found suggests that Jones is likely deceased. The vehicle involved is a green 2011 Infinity QX50 SUV with Alabama personalized plate: SIRNARD.

Further investigation yielded surveillance video showing Jones inside a Chevron gas station in Scooba, Mississippi. This is the last time he was seen alive. Investigators believe that the motive for his homicide was likely due to a large amount of cash he was carrying at the time of his disappearance. 

Due to the distance between Center Point, Alabama and Scooba, Mississippi, investigators have been unable to locate Jones at this time. They believe that the key to locating Jones may be in someone remembering seeing the vehicle of interest during or around the time of Jones’s disappearance. His case remains unsolved.
