Hillman and her son had dinner before he left for college on August 30, 1987. When her son returned from college on the following Friday, September 4, 1987, the dinner they had on the day he left for college was still on the stove. Hillman’s son reported his mother missing after she did not return home by the following morning. She was officially reported missing on September 5, 1987. It was found that Hillman did not show up for the first day of her new job at the Leakesville Annex School on September 4, 1987. In October 1987, her blue 4-door 1979 Toyota Corolla was found in the front parking lot of Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. There was blood evidence found in the back seat. Hillman has never been seen or heard from again. Her case remains unsolved at this time.
