case details:
Matthews went missing on October 9, 2006. He lived alone on Evans Road in Franklin County, Mississippi. Matthews and his wife were separated and she was living in Adams County at the time of his disappearance but the two still spoke and visited one another. Family members thought Matthews may have been en route to his wife’s home. Law enforcement and search groups performed searches of the area by ground and air with no sign of Matthews. Authorities believed that he may have had an accident and driven into the lake but an extensive search of the lake was performed and Matthews was not located. Both Matthews and his red 1989 Mazda pickup truck remain missing at this time.
