Figueredo failed to report for duty at his workstation at Columbus Air Force Base on January 19, 1999. Figueredo’s wife stated she had not seen him in 4 days. She said he left with a small amount of cash and some clothes. It is believed that he left of his own will but he has not been seen or heard from since.
