case details:

The siblings disappeared on September 7, 2014 from Canton, Mississippi. They were abducted by their non-custodial mother, Sonia Elisabeth Coronado, and step-father, Fernando Pelayo Coria. Felony warrants for kidnapping were issued on September 12, 2014.

The children were made wards of the state after Coronado and Coria were arrested for child abuse and neglect. The prosecutor stated Coria severely beat them and their marks were some of the worst he had ever seen. Coronado, who was charged with neglect, had agreed to testify against Coria.

Authorities granted temporary custody to Coronado and issued an order prohibiting Coria from contact with them. Instead, Coronado and Coria disappeared with the children. Authorities believed they fled to Mexico.

Their cases remain unsolved at this time.
